Project overview

A web platform that runs the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing order process in one place, from the moment a medical representative raises an order to the day it is dispatched. It serves a field force of over a thousand MRs, a head-office portal for management, and dedicated consoles for Artwork, Quality Assurance, Purchase and Production, so every team works from the same live order instead of its own file. Orders are raised against central master data, so the system fills in most of the form itself: an MR enters 7 fields instead of 23, which covers nine orders in ten. It also prevents a specific class of error outright. Nearly half of all compositions have more than one valid manufacturing specification, exactly where a manual lookup goes wrong, so every order is validated against the specifications actually manufactured before it can be submitted.
